I am back in the world. Different and the same.
A week of round the clock cooking and I’m still eating. Naked grapefruit with roasted flaxseeds and maple syrup. A breakfast to brave the cold on top of my daily dose of astronaut vitamin & a thick layer of cold cream to face the ice cold wind.
Out of the frying pan of film production and almost already into the fire of editing. It feels weird not being on a set. It means I have no excuse to wear the same torn pair of jeans every day and to just dump all my clothes on the floor every night. It means I have to actually fix things. Make giant to do lists.
Raspberry nail polish today. Tomorrow snow. Maybe another storm. Time to start a new sourdough starter. My old love has been quietly dying in the fridge for a while but I can’t bear to throw it away until I have a new one.
I could rehydrate some flakes but I think I need to move on.
Rye flour here I come.
